I found this picture on my phone today. Here’s Tulip contemplating a much-needed workout.
I should really work out…
Kitty snack
Here’s a quick clip of Tulip’s dinner routine. This is pretty much how things go down every day. Notice how she has to slap the food container as I pull it away.
There may be a new kitty on the horizon
Tulip is turning into a bit of a loaf. She lays around a lot. She’s getting a little fat. She seems to be fine. I just think she’s really bored. As much as I don’t like the idea, we are considering getting another cat for her. She came from a foster home with 6 other cats, so she’s used to a lot of interaction. We think it would be really good for her to have a buddy to hang out with. It will also get her butt out of that kitty bed hopefully.
We have another FOCAS cat in mind. We’re going to try to find out more info about him today. I’ll keep you posted if/as things progress.
Extreme sunbathing
Once again, sorry it’s been so long since I posted an update. I’m extremely busy with work and school to say the very least.
In any case, Eve sent these adorable pictures to my cell phone the other day while I was at work. Here’s Tulip demonstrating her “Extreme Sunbathing” talent. There are a few more pictures in Tulip’s FlickR photo stream to the right.
A/C madness
Last night when I got home, our house was sweltering. I generally enjoy the heat, but it was a ridiculous 85 degrees and muggy inside. I felt bad for Tulip so I turned on the air-conditioner. As soon as it started to cool down, Tulip perked up. And by ‘perked up’ I mean she started howling and tearing around the house at top speed. She was like a ping pong ball bouncing off of every wall and piece of furniture that we have. And howling. Did I mention howling?
Fortunately she wore herself out pretty quickly. She was quiet for the rest of the night. However, when I got up this morning she was right back at it again.
<thud> <chirp> <thud> <meeeeeeoooooooow> <thud> <aooooooooo> <thud>
Every time she would pass under the air-conditioning vent she’d screech to a halt, look up and give it the evil eye for blowing on her, chirp, then zoom away. She really is a crack-up.
