Recently we’ve noticed a new Tulip Kitty behavior. I should start off by saying that we’re very routine oriented. Every morning the alarm clock goes off. Kitty wakes up and greets me. She takes the “elevator” off the bed. We make coffee. We wake up Eve. We watch the news. While we watch the news, kitty usually crouches down on the rug next to the coffee table and hangs out with us. Mellow doesn’t begin to cover how boring we are in the morning. We noticed though, that kitty gets very excited when we turn the TV off. When she hears that *click* she jumps up, swings her head towards the TV to make sure that’s really what she heard. Then she lets out a little chirp as if to say “Let’s go!”. I’m not sure why she gets excited over this. It’s not like we do anything exciting afterwards. She doesn’t get fed then. Usually I just go to the other room to get ready for work. It’s a big deal to her though. She usually comes along. Sometimes she’ll jump up and play on the bed. Sometimes she’ll rug surf in the hallway. But mostly she just supervises. I guess that’s just part of her kitty routine. If only we could read her little mind…
