Where’s the cat?

This morning I woke up and Miss Tulip was curled up in a ball next to me. I told her, “Let’s GOOOO!” and she popped her head up and let out a meow. Then she went to the foot of the bed and waited for the “elevator”.

We went out to the kitchen to make coffee. Eve was still sound asleep. Tulip kitty sat down near her food bowl and “watched” while made the coffee. When it was ready, I went into the other room to wake up Eve. Kitty was right behind me. Once Eve woke up, I went back to the kitchen to get my coffee. Kitty was nowhere in sight. I stuck my head back into the bedroom. No cat. I looked in the living room. No cat. I looked at the bottom of the stairs. No cat. Where the hell is the cat? I called her. No meow.

I sat down on the couch to drink my coffee and watch the news. But I couldn’t stop obsessing over it. Where the hell did that cat go? I took another tour of the house. Under the couch? Nope. In the litterbox? Nope. In the fridge? (Seriously, I looked there.) Nope. I finally found her sitting in the office on her chair. I had already looked in there once, and didn’t see her. I don’t know where she was, or what she was up to, but she was sitting there as innocent as all get-out. Which of course makes me suspicous. I guess kitty had some work to do on her computer this morning.
